Inside the box

We gave the humble garbage truck a starring role. One side of it molds trash shapes like bones and apple cores; the other side handles recyclables like bottles, cans and boxes. Load your creations into the top, mash them down, and out comes a pretend trash bag. The cab even lifts off as a book-mold that makes a friendly little driver.

Then there is the can we are secretly proudest of. Three colors swirl together inside, with eggshell, fishbone, apple core and banana peel designs mixed right into the compound. Three more 2-ounce cans in blue, yellow and red join it. It all adds up to a messy-on-purpose gift for truck fans ages three and up.
